Experience

I enjoy tutoring and have been doing it since high school, mainly working with peers as well as younger students. I am currently attending Johns Hopkins University as an undergrad working to obtain my chemical and biomolecular engineering degree. As you would imagine, the subjects that are my favorite to teach are science and math. I enjoy explaining concepts to students that I have previously learned, such as reading or math. I also have experience tutoring in the following subjects: algebra, calculus, geometry, Spanish, English, and chemistry, just to name a few.I like to make the sessions with my students fun and interesting. I like making learning an enjoyable experience. I would say that my tutoring style is easygoing. I am not the kind of tutor who will spoon feed you the answers. I like to work with my students so they can gain the skills to methodically and locally attack problems they are working on.In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as volleyball and rugby. I also enjoy working out and biking. Music is also important to me and I play the baritone and alto sax, as well as the piano. Finally, I love to read. I am always looking for new book suggestions, so if you know of a great book, please let me know!
